The Symphonic Band is under the direction of Mr. Ross, with assistance from Mr. Lea.
The Symphonic band is made up of primarily second year band students that have successfully completed their Beginning Band “instrument training year.” Following the expected course of instrumental music study (i.e. Band), students in this class will perform and rehearse together in class as a full ensemble while we develop our understanding of playing with other instruments, other parts, and refine our sound as a team. We perform at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation, and students are expected to participate in Solo & Ensemble during the Spring Semester.
We put on FOUR concerts each year.
